Harvard Mountaineering Club

Purpose Statement

The Harvard Mountaineering Club is dedicated to the pursuit of mountain adventure. In term-time, this can mean bouldering, rock climbing, snow climbing, ice climbing, and ski mountaineering. During vacations the HMC organizes and subsidizes mountaineering expeditions in the United States and around the world in attempts to repeat classic lines or establish first ascents. On-campus, the Club offers multiple bouldering walls, several speaker events a year, a library, a spacious and sociable clubroom, and loaner gear to get you started climbing. All levels of experience are welcome, from beginners to expert mountaineers.
