Harvard College Coalition for East African Peace

Purpose Statement

The Harvard College Coalition for East African Peace is concerned with the political, social and cultural issues regarding the ongoing conflict in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi, which suffer from remnants of political and civil strife, as well as poverty. The group will seek to promote greater awareness and understanding of these issues through appropriate means such as publications, meetings, seminars, and other educational activities with the intent of mobilizing the Harvard community to take action towards the cessation of hostilities and the promotion of sustained development in East Africa.
